Includes pretesting, retinal imaging, diabetic and motor vehicle exams, glaucoma monitoring and evaluation, pre and post operative care following laser, cataract or other eye surgeries.
We carry a large variety of eyewear options including regular eyewear, safety glasses and sunglasses to fit any style and budget and can order lens types (single vision, progressives, bifocals, trifocals, reading glasses or task specific lenses) that suit your lifestyle and specific needs.
Children can be examined as early as six months if you are having concerns and we recommend a child’s first exam be before the age of three. Other testing can be used even if your child is still learning the alphabet.
Various techniques are used to work on visual areas such as tracking, eyeteaming, focusing and visual perceptual skills. In office therapy is offered, combined with at home exercises that are tailored to each individual by a vision therapist under the guidance of your optometrist.
Your optometrist can discuss what contact lens options would work best for you and fit you with the best lenses.
If you are experiencing an urgent eye issue, please proceed to Misericordia Health Centre’s 24/7 Eye Care Centre in Winnipeg and present at Patient Registration through the 99 Cornish Avenue entrance.
